Special Tour Upper Mustang

English speaking Nepalese Guide:This is, arguably, the most popular and fascinating trekking in Nepal . Mustang opened to trekkers only in 1992. The ancient kingdom is located in the very north of Nepal , close to the Tibetan border, amidst Himalayan snow peaks. A vast expanse of rock, wilderness of huge proportions, the region formerly belonged to Tibet and the area remains are strongly influenced by Tibetan culture. Mustang offers a truly exceptional opportunity to explore an area rich in ancient tradition and mythology. Mustang is one of the oldest kingdoms in the Himalayas and its capital, Lo Manthang, has been a major trading site for many centuries. Experience one of the last ancient places of Tibetan Buddhist culture – the culture of the Lopas, who still practice ancient daemon rituals. detailed tour description by by  mail upon request pictures & more

First - Trip of the season with Roger Budget Trip via Kodari with Lake Kora

The early trip in the year is one of my favorite, it is because the nature in the holy region is very untouched with almost no people, moreover Lake Manasarovar is fully or partially frozen during this time and there will also be snow along the Drolma La Pass. It is a journey for people who like the pure and deserted nature on such powerful place. During the trip, one gets the chance to see the amazing beauty of the scenery that one can imagine and during this season it will be quite cold with some snow. Photo Gallery

Extensive Mt. Kailash VIP Tour & Gyantse Saga Dawa Festival with Roger.  & Lhasa Extension possible.

Every year at Saga Dawa (the day of Buddha's enlightenment, nirvana and paranivana) the monastery celebrates a big festival over four days. This festival is not well known, which ensures that there will not be many tourists.  Over the four days one has the chance to see the vivid way Tibetan pilgrims  join the fire puja, Lama dances, Sand Mandala puja and finally the unrolling of the giant silk thanka.  This is the oldest scroll painting in Tibet, dating back 480 years and measuring  approximately 40 x 60 m.  Indeed I consider this one of the most genuine festivals in Tibet, where one has the chance to get to know Tibetan pilgrims and sense the relaxed way they participate in Tibetan Buddhism and folklore. Furthermore at the time we are circumambulating Mt. Kailash there is a constant merit of 100 thousand times due to the sacred month of Saga Dawa. detailed tour description by by  mail upon request. more information

Budget Saga Dawa FestivalTrip (extensive)

2010 is a special year in Tibetan Buddhism, when pilgrimage is particularly meritorious. During the period of the Saga Dawa month, one circumambulation of the mountain is popularly considered to have the merit of a 100 thousand times on top of that to be purifying one life time. At time for the full moon of Saga Dawa ( Buddha's day of enlightenment and paranirvana ) more pilgrims than usual visit Kailash.  In Tarpochen, at the foot of the holy mountain, there will be a big Buddhist festival. Tarpochen represents the navel of the world and every year Tibetans erect here a giant pole while many other ceremonies and rituals are carried out.  This is certainly the most important day for Tibetan pilgrims at Mt. Kailash. You will have more time than usual at Lake Manasarovar so that it is possible to do this kora as well and finally you can extend a visit of Lhasa if you like.

Saga Dawa with Markus - VIP Tour to Mt. Kailash Saga Dawa Festival & Lhasa Extension possible.

The Tibetans say that a complete pilgrimage should include the three holy places Kailash, Manasarovar and Tirthapuri. We will visit these three places during Saga Dawa, the most important festival in Tibet, which marks Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and death. Many Tibetans visit Kailash during this time. We will experience the highlight of the festival: the annual raising of the Tarpoche prayer pole, centre of the universe according to Tibetan mythology. First, we visit the holy springs of Tirthapuri. Then follows the core of this journey: an unhurried four-day circuit trek (kora) among Tibetan pilgrims around holy Mt. Kailash followed by a visit of beautiful Lake Manasarovar. During the best time of the year, we enjoy silence and nature, spectacular panoramic views, as well as interaction within the group. detailed tour description by  mail upon request  Photo Gallery

The changing nature surprises us again and again. New! Systemic Constellation Journey with Stefan VIP Tour

This journey to Mount Kailash could be a journey to the holy centre of the universe, an encounter with the naturally manifested transcendent and a concrete experience of something inexplicable. To think systemically shows us the deep interconnectedness of all things – in tune with death, fate and life, and when we truly understand this, we realise that, in the end, we only hurt ourselves if we don’t live in a way that sustains the system-as-a-whole. Systemic Constellation Journey is an opportunity to increase our ability to see the unseen and to know the unknow of our life, to overcome our fear to see the reality clearly and to become closer to our self and the strength inside us to follow a good way forward. Stefan Reiter, German, born in 1963, lives in Kathmandu, Nepal, since 2005. Since 1989 he is working as a Naturopath, specialist in Systemic Constellation Work and Craniosacral Osteopathy and instructor. Both treatments he brought to Nepal. He is well experienced with group process and travelling in Nepal and Tibet (Mt. Kailash 2 times). More information about Systemic Constellation work:  Stefan is fluent in German and English, and little bit in Nepalese. Detailed description by separate mail on request.
